I just started watching the show over the last couple of months, but I've noticed the members of the main family seldom wear colorful clothing. Usually dark/muted colors, maybe an occasional pale lavendar or cornflower blue. The mom wore a red sweater once, but only during a short sequence when she talked about losing her virginity. Anyone else notice this? Any theories?

Interesting, I've never thought of that. The only thing I noticed was that Robert alwys wears blue. But you might be on to something.
